Smart city-: What’s in for the Aam Janta (Aam Adami)

Pune is the eight largest city in India in terms of GDP and population. Given its rapid pace of urbanization and a rich cultural and educational heritage it is fast developing into the most sought after city for the people.

Pune is already a jewel in the crown owing to various factors such as well established business centers, well functioning Municipal Corporation, a strong educational heritage, and a vibrant culture. However there are certain loopholes which need to fill so as to make its residents life even more comfortable. The government of India has launched a very important program to create 100 smart cities in the next five years. The objective is to provide good infrastructure and a good standard of living for its people along with a clean and sustainable environment.

There is every reason for the common man to cheer about as the initiative of smart city means using several ideas which will greatly uplift the standard of living of the aam janta.
